Release: Announcing our Oxford release

We’re thrilled to announce our Oxford release which comes packed with exciting new features and key enhancements designed to improve knowledge management, user productivity, and overall experience on the platform. With Oxford, we’re again making huge progress on our journey to building the next generation of knowledge management software.

Knowledge management

At the core of Oxford are improvements to our knowledge management capabilities, making it easier than ever for teams to access, organize, and leverage company knowledge. We’ve focused on delivering smarter, more intuitive features that address the challenges of unstructured information, scattered data, and outdated documentation.

FAQs: Easily document common knowledge

We understand that capturing institutional knowledge can be a challenge, so we’re introducing FAQs. This feature makes it easy to convert common internal questions into structured, shareable content nuggets. Whether you’re onboarding new employees or addressing frequent inquiries, FAQs help ensure that knowledge is centralized, accessible, and always up to date.

With FAQs, your team can:

  • Document and share answers to recurring questions.
  • Upvote, downvote, and update FAQ entries as company information evolves.
  • Include highly specific content in the Zive Search and the Zive Assistant.
  • Easily browse FAQs within collections for quick access.

FAQs are created and managed from within Zive’s knowledge collections.

Links: Fast navigation to key resources

For users navigating between multiple browser-based tools, we’re introducing Links. Whether it’s a key tool like SharePoint or an internal form such as vacation request, you can now add and access links directly from Zive. These links are also indexed into search, so finding and using your most important resources becomes effortless.

Key benefits include:

  • Add links to collections for quick access.
  • Easily search and filter for links that matter most.
  • Quick access to relevant links directly from the personal dashboard.

Productivity AI

In addition to the enhancements around knowledge management, Oxford includes a range of valuable improvements for the Zive AI Assistant.

Excel support: Unlock the power of spreadsheets

Accessing relevant information from within Excel documents is now easier than ever with Excel support. You can now analyze, search, and extract data directly from your spreadsheets, empowering users to access relevant data quickly without leaving the platform.

This opens the door to work with structured data both in the Zive Search and the Zive Assistant. Particularly, Excel support enables you to ask specific data-related questions and get pinpoint answers.

Prompt attachments: Upload and attach content to your prompts

Need more context in your AI prompts? With Prompt attachments, you can now upload documents, or even entire folders directly into the Zive Assistant. Whether you need to compare contracts, analyze reports, or reference key files, this feature adds an extra layer of customization and precision to your prompts..

Key use cases:

  • Upload files like PDFs, contracts, or presentations for immediate AI-driven analysis.
  • Attach multiple content sources from your existing knowledge base to enhance responses.

Code support: Empowering software developers

With Oxford the Zive Assistant now also has full support for software code. In practice, this means that your software developers can use the Zive Assistant to analyze and enhance existing code or to generate new code from scratch.

Additional improvements

In addition to the new capabilities that are being introduced through our new Oxford release, we’ve also invested quite some time in optimizing the overall platform experience. This includes the following optimizations:

  • Overall performance improvement
  • Revamp of the Zive Assistant UI
  • Revamp of the small in-place AI assistants inside of knowledge collections, search and the file detail view

Release date

Oxford will be available starting December 5, 2024. We encourage you to explore all the new features and see how they can enhance your team’s productivity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Whether you’re managing internal resources, collaborating on key documents, or simply looking for ways to make work more efficient, Zive Oxford has you covered.
